Wednesday, November 5, Day 30

In this midweek let's be praying for:

~God's will to be done on earth-where you live and throughout American Society--even as it is in Heaven.

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Matt 6:9-13 

~a spiritual awakening across the nation, that the Gospel would be communicated across the full spectrum of American society and that people of all ages, races and backgrounds would be drawn to Christ and receive his life and salvation. 

11 Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? 12 Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them. 13 Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.

On this election day, let's be praying for:

~the leaders, churches and Christians of Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands

~for new America citizens, that they will have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel and place their faith in Jesus Christ.

 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Monday, November 3, 2014, Day 28

Today, let's be in pray for:

~the leaders, churches and Christians of Guam and Midway Islands

~ candidates for public office, that they would be moved by God to seek what is honorable, just and moral.

~[tomorrow is election day]

Yesterday, Lauren Hill, had her answer to one of her prayers. She got to participate in a college basketball game. In case you haven't heard, she was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and unless God intervenes, only has a short time left because the doctors have done what they can. Her story has gone "viral" and she has become the face for this type of cancer. Her courage is a great example for never giving up.

She made the first and last baskets of the game using her non dominant hand since the cancer has affected the use of her right side. She could only play for a few minutes. She was honored with two awards-one by Pat Summitt, retired basketball coach who is dealing with  altzheimers.  

If you have an extra minute or two today, please pray for this young, 19 year old woman and her family.

[We only have 5 days left in this 31 days of prayer. I know this was meant to be for the month of October but I didn't get the booklet until one week in and God put it on my heart to share here. The booklets were passed out at my sister's church the week before I got mine so there are many churches participating-I hope you choose to continue in praying for America along with your other concerns-we all have so much on our plates, don't we?]

~those who serve as police officers, prosecutors, defenders, judges and Justices of the U.S. Supreme Court, that they would be vigilant in service and wise in judgment. 

20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

~that there will be a growing number of people in your city or community trusting in Christ as Savior and Lord.
