There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.

31 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR AMERICA-MASSACHUSETTS & MICHIGAN

Saturday, October 18, 2014

Today let's be praying for:

~the leaders, churches and Christians of Massachusetts & Michigan

~for God's kingdom to come and His will to be done in your life and your family.

14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
1 John 5:14-15

Please keep this ebola situation in your prayers. The two nurses who contracted the disease from a patient they were caring for are still in the news. One is doing ok, the other not so ok. Ebola has and is affecting thousands in Africa. America is blessed not to have had to deal with it till now but now it is here on our shores. I am praying that God put His hand on this situation for a cure and healing for those who have the disease.

May God bless you and keep you today

31 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR AMERICA-MAINE AND MARYLAND

DAY 11-FRIDAY-OCTOBER 17, 2014

Today let's be praying for:

~the leaders, churches and Christians of Maine and Maryland

~for the President and Vice-President, that their hearts would be guided by God, that their decisions would be wise and that their leadership would be principled.

15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. 16 By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth. 17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. 18 Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness. 19 My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. 20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: 21 That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.
Prov 8:15-21

and the quote for the day:
"Prayer s not overcoming God's reluctance but laying hold of His willingness."

31 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR AMERICA-KENTUCKY AND LOUISIANA

THURSDAY--OCTOBER 16, 2014

Today let's be in prayer for:

~the leaders, churches and Christians of Kentucky and Louisiana.

~our children and youth of America, that God will grant them protection of body, soul, mind and spirit and fill them with godly desires and true hope.

That they [and we] will put on the whole armour of God that we can stand:
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Eph 6:10-18

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much
James 5:16

And, let's please add the nurses who have come down with the ebola virus that they got from a man they were caring for. and for this nation in this crisis.

I know, the booklet said this would only take about 5 minutes a day and I keep adding things. Sorry. Had, had, had to put in the whole armour of God this morning-I needed that passage badly for myself and "All Mine".

God bless you and keep you this Thursday and always

31 DAYS OF PRAYER-OCTOBER 15-IOWA AND KANSAS

What a difference a few minutes of prayer can make. I know it is making a difference in my own life, in my own peace of mind. That peace comes from knowing that God can and will take care of everything if we just turn it over to Him. This 74 year old, great, grandmother can do nothing about the disasters in this world but pray for them I cannot protect "All Mine" as they go out into this world that is becoming more evil with each day that passes but I can put them in God's hands each morning.

Today is October 15, 2014
Let's be in prayer today for:

~the leaders, churches and Christians of Kentucky and Louisiana

~a spiritual awakening across the nation, that the Gospel would be communicated across the full spectrum of American society and that people of all ages, races and backgrounds would be drawn to Christ and receive His life and salvation.

~ADDING: the new victims of ebola, those who have contracted the disease from taking care of other patients

And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
Mark 1:35

May God bless you and keep you today

31 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR AMERICA-ILLINOIS & INDIANA

This is Tuesday, October 14, 2014

How time flies. Only 2 1/2 months left in this year. And how much time do any of us have left in our lifetime? Years? Months? Weeks? Days? Hours? MINUTES? Thank you for taking this few minutes to pray for our country.

We never know when we get up in the morning whether we will get to crawl back into our bed at night or not. That can be a scary thought.

Today let's all pray for:
~the leaders, churches and Christians of Illinois and Indiana.

~candidates for public office, that they would be moved by God to seek what is honorable, just and moral.

2 We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; 3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; 4 Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.
1 Thess 1:2-4

God bless you and keep you

31 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR AMERICA-DAY 6-OCTOBER 12, 2014

Sunday morning-another day of nothing but bad news-A smoke bomb thrown at people in the subway in New York, Isis is marching on Iraq and Kobani-such evilness and it is fast invading our shores. We need to so keep our minds and hearts on our God.

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Phil 4:6-8

Today let's be praying for:
~the leaders, churches, Christians of Florida and Georgia

~Pray that the Church will deepen its commitment to prayer and never cease to call upon God.

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
Psalms 5:3
17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice. 18 He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.
Psalms 55:17-18
I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence
Isaiah 62:6
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint
Luke 18:1

God bless you and keep you

Today, I will be attending a memorial service for my former sister-in-law, Rita. I am praying for nephew, Randy and his family, in the loss of his mother. She and I are the same age-kind of makes one think, doesn't it? Am I doing all I am supposed to be doing? Am I procrastinating on things that need to be done?
